Ear Update

Isaac has done extremely well with his recovery from surgery on Monday. Other than being slightly more mellow on Monday following the procedure, he has bounced back to his normal-old self, and if I might add, his new and improved self. He seems a little less cranky overall and has been sleeping better this week since his surgery. Hooray! Hopefully this pattern of improvement sustains itself. Last night was first bathtime following the surgery, and I managed to get cotton balls coated with Vaseline into his ears while the water was being poured into the tub and he was distracted. Thought I'd include a couple of photos since they are too cute. :-) Excuse the colorful array of peppers in his mouth - we usually finish dinner part 2 during bathtime. He did well with keeping the cotton balls in until he saw his reflection in the silver plate on the tub and realized something 'wasn't right.' Then it was all over. At least I got to wash his hair first and most of the splashing was done with. Next test, ear plugs next week at the indoor 'Edge' waterpark for his birthday...stay tuned.
